Makibito Cafe
We are currently working on building a firewood cafe with conventional construction method using local cedar wood. This cafe will serve meals made from locally grown ingredients cooked on fireplace oven, aiming to create a cozy place where both local and outside guests can enjoy and relax.
Achieving a small amount of energy self-sufficiency model in a village is one of the forms of our goal to creave "harmonious life that is kind to people and nature." We'd like to show gallery of the self-building story.
First, I drew a blueprint in the factory. Then put ink one by one to carve the woods.
Built the base, and assemble wood on frame. A skylight window and a wood stove chimney are placed on the ceiling.
Put charcoal under the floor, and attached the floor and wall while putting the heat insulating material inside.
The exterior is almost complete!
